Stephen Couchman: London 1793, 1796, 179 Frontis, total of 108 hand colored plates, 9.5 x 6, full buff colored leather, decorative blindstamping, gilt floral pattern along all sides of the covers, edges have gilt "dots," gilt floral pattern on spine which has slightly raised bands, red spine labels with gilt lettering, floral marbled page edge, marbled endpapers, 108 pp, accompanied by 108 plates. Covers have soiling, rubbing, light staining, water ring on front cover, shelfworn, corners bumped and well worn, outer hinges cracked and darkened, upper spine tip worn, very slight chipping to labels, page edges have a small bit of staining and marbling is almost all worn off, inner hinges cracked, bookplate, toning, scattered foxing, light soiling, silk page marker has slight fraying at the edge else contents tight and very good. Botanical plates are bright and sharp and very attractive. Scarce. FIRST ED.
