Covers rubbed, scratched, leather scuffed/scraped, small tears, soiling (mainly in the second volume), couple of pages with pieces out of the side margins, light creasing, offsetting, uncut pages, second volume has tiny holes on one page else very good. Articles on automatic telegraphy, Suez Canal, history of watchmaking in America, deep sea railroad bridges, etc. Some of the titles: "The Report of Colonel W.A. Roebling, Chief Engineer of the New York Bridge Co.," "History and Progress of Photography," "Use of Balloons in Warfare," "Proposed Tunnels Under the Detroit River," "The Pedespeed" (early version of the Segway). And much, much more.
