Group of b&w and Color Photos of Detroit's Special Events, 1957-1984: Around the World Festival, Downtown Sunday Flea Market, Miss Grand Circus Park Contest, Party Under the Stars, Kennedy Square Skating Party, Three-Legged Race on the Kern Block, Hatari

Detroit 1957-1984 (a fe 24 color 3.5 x 5, all of the "Around the World Festival," the remainder are all b&w, nine are 8x10, and one is 7x5, only a few list the photog. Color photos are good, b&w have light creasing, soiling, removal marks, one margin tear. Events shown are ones that were organized by the Central Business District Association. The "Around the World Festival" took place at Hart Plaza, shown are the First Michigan Fife & Drum Corp, various ethnic dancers, Chinese calligraphy, Polish art, ethnic food booths; other photos are self-explanatory. Comes with newspaper clippings and copies of clippings on Detroit's ethnic festivals including an interview with Diane Edgecombe who was head of the Central Business District Association. A total of 34 photos, sold as a lot only.
