Group of Ten Original b&W Photos plus three duplicates of trucks and truck chassis with Besler vacuum power brakes, vehicles made by White, NewComer, Kleiber, Pike, Ford, GMC, Hendrickson. (Only one photographer listed "Arrow.")

Los Angeles and San Francisco 1930s (two lice 8 x 11, linen backed, side margins have tabs with punchholes. Approximately half have light soiling, wear and scratches, other half is more soiled and worn, pencil scribble on backs of two photos, tears to punchholes, one has cello tape and tape removal marks. Businesses represented are Pioneer Truck Co, New Comer Trailer, Associated Oil Co., Pike Auto and Trailer Works, Wilshire Oil Co, Deep Rock, a few have no company name. The photo of the GMC truck/gas tanker is parked in front of a Green Diamond Gasoline station, gas was 11 1/2 cents. Each photo is numbered and lists the information on the vehicle shown. Comes with: two photo postcards, each with a dupe issued by the Kay Steel Wheel Company, Los Angeles / Philadelphia. Light wear and curling, tape removal (?) mark. One shows a truck (mfr.?) for Whinney's Express, Philadelphia and the other has two trucks with flatbeds. Undated. Also comes with a brochure for the National Wheel and Rim Association, a stapled eight page w/ illustr which includes a national directory of its distributors. A total of 18 pieces. From the archives of a recently retired longtime Detroit wheel and rim company owner. Sold as a lot only.
