Three Original b&w Photographs of 1930s Ladder and Hose Trucks belonging to the Lansing Fire Department, one of the photos taken by R.C. Leavenworth, a renowned Lansing commercial photographer.

Lansing nd (1930s) Linen-backed photos oblong 7.75 x 10 with a paper-covered lined "tab" extendiing 1 inch beyond photos, stamped on back of the ladder truck "R.C. Leavenworth Commercial Photographer 1315 Michigan Ave. Lansing, Mich" and the numbers 19373 in lower right corner; there are two photos of hose trucks, one has #2 on the radiator and has numbers 20953 in lower right corner and other has #9 on its radiator with the numbers 2100 and 10-23-'31 on the lower left corner. Name of truck manufacturer not legible. "Tabs" have punch holes, soiling, chipping, light creasing, tape and tape removal marks, photos appear to have been taped to something at one time, affects the hose truck photos. Hose truck "2" is posed in front of Engine House 2, the two remaining trucks were parked in front of Rule & Roberts, a large brick auto repair facility, Firestone logo on the building, footed advertising signs for Quaker State and Pennzoil, gas pumps "KoolMotor" and Cities Service oil "dispensers." R.C. Leavenworth came to Lansing in 1919 from northern Michigan where he had taken photos of lumbering and mining camps. Scarce. Sold as a lot only.
