Three volumes in two. William Phillips, George Yard, Lombard Street (London) 1903 (Vol. I), 1804 (Vol. II), and H.D. Symond, 20 Paternoster Row, (London) 1805 (Vol. III). Frontis, 119 full page color plates, 9.25 x 5.75, leather with gilt ruled corners and edges of spine, raised bands, gilt stamped spine panels, spine labels gilt ruled with gilt lettering, 131, 114, 63. Covers worn, rubbed, scuffed/scraped, shelfworn, Volume I rebacked, corners bumped and worn, spine rubbed affecting gilt and spine labels, raised band on Volume I chipped, inner hinges cracked, inner hinges on Volume I have been archivally repaired, scattered foxing, offsetting from plates, some toning, ink names on front pastedowns else good/very good. Plates are complete, 119/119 and are bright and sharp. Volume I and II bear the title "Lectures on Botany . . ." and Volume III has the title of "Lectures on Various Subjects, as Delivered in the Botanic Garden at Lambeth by the Late William Curtis. . ." Scarce. FIRST ED.
