Quincy Union (High) School, located in the Upper Pensinsula mining town of Quincy offered classes that were required in order to enter the University of Michigan (in addition to Quincy's required classes). "The aim is to make our school a finishing school rather than a preparatory school for some higher institution." Tuition is $14 a year. The announcement includes the list of text books and the names of the faculty and board of education.
