Copy of a Typed Letter on Company Letterhead of the Capewell Horse Nail Co., Detroit, dated September 10, 1894, and addressed to H. Spaulding in Winchester, Ind., allowing him to take time off to visit his father.

7.5 x 8.5, no lithographer listed. Light creasing and fold lines, stamped signature, a few pinpricks, light spotting else good. The Capewell Horse Nail Co., at 29 Farrar Street, is shown surrounded by other factories, a few short blocks from the riverfront. Included is a postally used envelope with the company logo on the front, dated 1894 and addressed to H. Spaulding in Winchester, Ind. Envelope is soiled, torn, creased with pencil notes. Sold as a pair.
