Typed Letter on Fred E. Holmes Company letterhead, "Michigan Distributors Gray & Davis Starting - Lighting System for Ford Cars." Detroit, March 3, 1917.

11 x 8.5, light tan stationery. Light fold creases, tiny bit of sunning, couple of small spots else good. Letter is addressed to the Cartier Auto Company of Ludington, Mich. "We are in receipt of your parts to be repaired and assembled and same will receive our prompt attention.: The Fred E. Holmes Company sold what they called "Automobile material.:" automobile lamps, machine screws, Ediswan connectors, cork carpet, automobile tools. Holmes was located two blocks north of E.Grand BLvd., not too far from Ford's Highland Park plant, also on Woodward.
