Personal photo album of Marc R. Pross, dated 1907, showing Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Ct.

Lakeville 1907 Album is 6 x 8, 89 b&w photos of varying sizes on 38 pages with 22 pages blank. Album covrs are moderately worn, soiled, spotted, spine tips bumped and worn, extremities worn, first page detached, tears along inner page edges at "gutter" and small tears on page edges, soiling, removal marks on two pages from photos no longer present, couple of photos have edge creasing, one photo has a small piece torn out of the bottom else good/very good. Hotchkiss School was founded in 1891 as a boarding school/prep school. Shown are the baseball, football, track, shooting teams, Alpha Omega convention at the Rushmere Club, sledding, camping, casual photos of other students including a young woman driving a Speedwell auto, views of Lake Keowee in Estill, SC., a few of the photos are labeled. Pasted inside the front cover is a printed card with the name of Marc R. Pross and an embossed paper medallion "The Hotchkiss School MDCCCXCI" affixed just above it. Some of the famous graduates: Henry Luce, Henry Ford II, William Clay Ford, Archibald MacLeish, John Hersey, former Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart.
