Privately printed by author: np (Detroit) nd (1951) 11 x 8.5, cloth tape backed printed pict wraps, 129 leaves printed (mimeographed) on recto only, covers worn with large glass stain on front cover, cloth tape spine fraying at ends, fore-corner of rear cover creased, couple of old ink stamped names and addresses (Alfred Niezychowski, famed Polish sailor and author), one ink stamp crossed out and former owner's name written next to it, former owner's signed bookplate inside front cover, pp yellowed and a bit edge-worn some toning at end due to newspaper articles (incl) else a decent copy of this hard to find title. PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED TO "COUNTESS NIEZYCHOWSKI" AND SIGNED BY AUTHOR. ALSO, WITH LONG SIGNED PRESENTATION FROM COUNT NIEZYCHOWSKI in his usual green ink. Niezychowski wrote the introduction to this book. DeHull Travis was a Detroit lawyer and lecturer, an expert on prison reform, who served the US during both WWI and WWII, worked with Frank Murphy (later Supreme Court Justice), and was a Nuremburg counsel. This is an anthology, the best of DeHull Travis, including letters, articles and a short play.
