Bronze Medal Featuring the Image of Governor William G. Milliken of Michigan set inside a sepia-colored clear plastic plaque on which is "printed" these words: "Presented with my sincere thanks and appreciation for your loyal support Your friend Bill Mill

np 1974 Medal is 2" diameter, plaque is 4.5 x 3.5. Corne has a tiny chip, lettering at the bottom (The Jaques Cartier M__ __ __) rubbed else both pieces are very good. Medal shows the governor's face with his name above and the date "1974" below; the reverse shows the state capital superimposed over the state of Michigan with the words "Governor State of Michigan 1974." Comes with a scratched plastic case. Milliken, the longest serving governor in the state's history, 1969-1983, became the governor when the previous governor, George Romney left to become the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development in the Nixon administration.
