Munn & Company: NY 1913 Illustr, 16 x 11.5, quarter leather 592, 504. Ex-lib, covers fair (worn, outer/inner hinges cracked, spine cover peeling and missing pieces etc.), tears, pencil scribble, cracked, soiling, smudging, staining, toning, Jan 18 is bound inside of Jan. 11, last page detached. There are more than 30 articles on zeppelins/airships and these three are of special interest: "New Hangars for Military Uses," "Comparison of French and German Strength in Dirigible Airships" and "Dissecting a Military Dirigible Airship" and all have great airship illustr. In addition, the Nov. 15th issue has a naval airship on the front cover. Other articles: "The Genealogy of the Motorcycle," "A New Baseball Indicator," "Carrier Pigeons in the French Army" and a couple of articles on Scott's expedition to the South Pole. There are 12 color covers (one for each month) including one on the Panama-Pacific International Exposition which was to open in 1915, there are also two articles on the exposition in that issue. Several full page color ads: Kodak, Velvet Tobacco, Victor (Victrola), and for autos Lozier, Garford 6, Oldsmobile and Pierce Arrow. Lots of b&w car ads. Plus much much more. Sold as is.
