Wax Casts of the Matrices of the Great Seal, counter seal for lawsuits, all from the city of Bruges.

The counter seal is 2.5" diameter and the other two seals are 4" diameter each. Lawsuit seal is caracked and has tissue stuck to reverse, remaining seals have light scratches. The casts, or impressions, were done when they were part of the "Flanders in the Fifteenth Century" exhibit that was held at the Detroit Institute of Arts in October-December 1960. Comes with photocopied information from the exhibition catalog. Comes from the estate of Francis Robinson, a former director of the Detroit Institute of Arts. Sold as a set.
