Two Autograph Letters Signed by Walt Whitman Biographer [Isaac] Hull Platt to a "Mr. Eliott," 1912.

East Wallingford, PA 1912 First is dated March 3, 1912, 11 x 8.5, one sheet (both sides) on "Runnemede, Wallingford, Pennsylvania" letterhead, boldly penned letter thanking recipient for some photos and relaying some business news about publishing the "WW [Walt Whitman] Concordance." The letter also contains news of Hull's being ill with "severe indigestion." Second letter is dated May 13, 1912, on half sheet (both sides) also about business and Hull's illness. Also included is original postally used envelope addressed to Charles A. Eliot of Portland, Oregon, used for second letter. Also: engraved announcement of Hull's death August 14, 1912. Letters are good with folds, some wear and soil, toning, smudges, couple light areas but overall nice. Hull wrote a biography of Walt Whitman, Trilby, and on the Bacon-Shakespeare cipher.
