Detroit and St. Joseph Railroad One Dollar Banknote.

Jackson May 9, 1840 (?) 3 x 5.75, engraved on one side with a train at the top and a ship at the bottom. Worn and wrinkled, cancelled, cropped on one side, chipping, missing tiny pieces off margins. Endorsed to a "S.J. Mason," signed by the bank officers. The Detroit and St. Joseph Railroad Bank was organized on January 9, 1838 and closed down in 1840. Scarce.
