Wm. A. Pond and Co: NY 1876 Nice cover illustration shows two Black people sitting next to a large basket of cotton, 14 x 11, sewn wraps, (6pp) including covers. Stored in a recent frame 16.5 x 13.5, and glass is 13.5 x 10.5. Pencil name, loose, worn, soiled, spotted, tears, large tear on front cover is repaired on reverse with non-cello tape, chipping, small pieces missing out of margins, toning. One of the verses, in part "I am thinking today of dem years dat pass'd away, When dey tied me up in bondage long ago. . . " By the same composer as 'Walking for Dat Cake.' Sold as is.
