New York February 11, 18 One page, 12.5 x 8, paper yellowed, folds, browned and wear at folds else a decent piece. William Backhouse Astor, son of furrier John Jacob Astor, and three others, acting as executors of his Uncle Henry Astor's estate, sign off on a mortgage for one Henry Dickens. Also signing are George Ehninger (William's nephew, probably), Daniel Lord Jr. (Astor family attorney) and Michael Miller (husband of William's sister Catherine, who was once wife of a George Ehninger and mother of a George Ehninger). Signed at bottom by Commissioner of Deeds, and docketed on reverse.
