"Announcing . . . the Opening of Our New Art and Production Building at . . . 2921 East Jefferson Avenue."

Maxon Inc. Advertising: Detroit 1953 Flyer w/ advertisement printed on one side only, 21 x 16.5, browned, creased, a few small tears else good. The flyer shows a late 19th c. house that is their new art and production building, their three other locations (another) one in Detroit and New York and Chicago and a list of their clients, i.e., Pfeiffer's Beer, HJ Heinz, Packard Motor Car, Sun-Maid Raisins. Their "new" building was formerly the home of John N. Bagley, built in 1889 at the corner of Jefferson and Joseph Campau Aves. Bagley was the son of former governor John J Bagley. The house was built in the style of HH Richardson; the stone entrance and the mantels in the living and dining rooms were carved by Julius Melchers. From the estate of John DuCharme Bagley, the son of John N. Bagley. A very nice illustration of the front of the house.
