SALEM GAZETTE. Salem (Massachusetts), Tuesday, June 20, 1815. Volume XXIX. No. 49.

20.5 x 12, 4 pp. Spotting, staining, tears, creasing, removal marks. Much on Napoleon aka "The Corsican Usurper" who has left Elba for France. Anti-Napoloen sentiments, not just from the American perspective -- King Ferdinand is declaring war against Napoleon, not France. Also the detainment of American prisoners in Dartmoor Prison (England), New Jersey objecting to the removal of 36 thousand dollars out of the state treasury for "the cost of ordering and keeping out our militia last summer" (militia used to protect New York from British invasion). Lots of ads.
