Seven wonderful stereo view cards of various Detroit scenes.

Black's: Detroit nd (1880s?) Oblong, 7 x 3.5, photographer's name printed on front margins and stamped on the back of a few cards. Light/moderate wear, soiling (some on the images), backs tend to have spotting and more soiling than on the front, minor chipping / creasing, ink date written on one card. Seven different scenes: West Side; Woodward Ave. (JL Hudson); Woodward Ave. View (Wright & Kay Jewelers); East Griswold St. about 1880 (Mechanic's Bank); Old Michigan Exchange Jefferson Ave; House of Corrections (Alfred between Russell and Riopelle); Old Detroit Boat Club (foot of Jos. Campau) and Tower, Water Works Park. According to backstamp, Black's was founded in 1850 and at this point handles "Kodaks" and does developing and printing. Sold as a lot only. Scarce.
