LADIES' HOME JOURNAL. March 1930.

Curtis Publishing Co: NY 1930 14.5 x 11, publishers blue boards w/ silver trim and medallion, black lettering, 258 pp. Entire magazine bound inside the boards, boards are rubbed, soiled, scattered light spotting, corners and spine tips bumped and worn, cover margins and interior edges of boards browned (nicotine?), slight tobacco odor, a few small tears, light soiling on one margin, lower corner of p 123/124 lacking, p 147/148 tape repaired else contents very good. On the inside of the front board is table of contents along with a printed note to Mr. G.O. Ellis. Some of the contributors: Albert Payson Terhune, Elsa Schiaparelli, Edna St. Vincent Millay. There's an article on London fashion for children which includes a photo of Princess Lilybett (who is also mentioned) in the article and who happens to be the current Queen Elizabeth II. Lots of wonderful ads, most full page, a lot in color. Some of the ads: Ford, Buick, Plymouth, Baker's Cocoa, Heinz, Aunt Jemima, Post Toasties, Jello, Gold Medal, Sun Maid, Crisco, Hostess. OF SPECIAL INTEREST IS A FULL PAGE COLOR ILLUSTRATION, "White Birch," BY MAXFIELD PARRISH. Scarce in this format.
