Various places 1909-1921 3.5 x 5.5. Six are postally used but all have messages written on them, creasing, edge and corner wear, light spotting/staining, a couple of small tears else good. Six cards are in color, the last two listed above are sepia (one is a photo card). Various postcard publishers. One postcard ("Two Heavyweights") depicts a heavyset Black man cutting open a big watermelon. Written on the back: "This looks like Billy Taft, with a shine on his face how would you like to be this size?" The writer appears to be referring to William Howard Taft, the 27th president of the U.S., 1909-1913. Taft was a very large man and had to have a bigger bathtub installed in the White House for his use. Sold as a lot.
