Galley Proofs for the book LOBA, PARTS I - VII, Corrected in ink by the author Diane Di Prima.

Wingbow Press: (Berkeley, CA) 1978 Illustr by Josie Grant, this item contains photocopied pages, 11 x 8.5, printed on one side only, pp numbered 10-181 plus two preliminary sheets and facsimile of title page (9.5 x 6"), good condition with just some edge wear and tears, but WITH RED INK CORRECTIONS AND NOTES THROUGHOUT BY DIANE DI PRIMA. Also included is original envelope from Bookpeople, heavily worn and torn, not postally used, with red pencil note on front saying "Diane, yr original corrected galleys, T." Di Prima's tour de force, the book-length poem uses the "loba" (female wolf) as a symbol for herself and women in their struggle for selfhood. Di Prima, long a prominent poet, was once considered on a par with her contemporary Allen Ginsberg; both influenced the Beat and Hippie movements on the coasts.
