Detroit 1855 Illustr, 8.5 x 5.5, cloth, 732 pp. Covers very well worn and rubbed, corners and spine tips bumped and frayed, tips are torn, pencil (?) scribble on page edges, becoming disbound, inner hinges with old cello tape repair, lacks title page and all pages previous, scattered spotting, soiling, staining. Contains info on the northern lower peninsula (i.e., Mackinac) and various counties (Eaton, Allegan, Ionia). Some of the other reports are the list of entrants (pp 23-136) for the 6th Annual Fair held at Detroit, some of the entrants were Wm. L. Woodbridge, F. Buhl & Co., J.S. Farrand, Hiram Walker; "Commerce of Detroit in 1854" pp 229-251; Detroit waterworks pp 253-259; address delivered by Bela Hubbard at the Detroit Fair before the Michigan State Agricultural Society pp 309-336. Full of good reference material. FIRST ED.
