MacLeish, Archibald.

Three Typed Letters Signed by Archibald MacLeish to his daughter Mimi.

xxxx First is 4 pp, April 12 nd (c 1944-45) on blank verso of Department of State letterhead. Nice, long, preachy letter defending the U.S., with red pencil underlining (his) and pencil "phooey to you!!!" (hers), toned, soiled but fascinating, signed "Dad." Second letter is one leaf, typed on both sides, to "Darling Snooks," July 9, nd, asking daughter for word on her plans, signed "Dad." Third is on Uphill Farm letterhead, Sept. 2, 1950, one sheet typed on both sides, discussing what to do with older relatives, addressed to "Carissima Mimisima" and signed Dad in pencil. All with folds. Nice content.
