Map of the natural gas lines in the downtown Detroit area.

Detroit 1888 11 x 17, removed (?), fold creases, small tears, piece of cardstock attached to reverse, light soiling else good. Map has red and green lines to indicate either "Illuminating Gas" or "Fuel Gas" which was used for gas ranges and heaters. On each side of the map are the routes for the Detroit Street Railway. On the back are the names of the streets with their coordinates. Map also shows Elmwood and Mt. Elliot cemeteries, Detroit House of Correction, docks for the D&C steamers and Belle Isle Ferry.
