Medal Commemorating the Womans Relief Corps.

np 1888 Copper colored metal, cross design, 1.25 x 1.25, attached to a red/white/blue striped ribbon which has a medal attached at the top. Ribbon is soiled and frayed, medal and pin have light wear else very good. In the center of the medal are the images of solidiers and flags; stamped on the cross are "Womans Relief Corps 1883." On the reverse "Patented May 4 and Sept. 28, 1888." The corps was associated with the G.A.R.
