Thomas Bennet, John Nicholson & Daniel Midwinter: London 1705. 10 full page & 1 text engraving, three folding maps, one which bears the name of H. Moll, 15.75 x 9.75, full paneled calf, 862+ index. Covers very well worn, lacking leather from rear cover and sections from front cover, remaining leather is torn and scuffed, corners bumped & very well worn, lacking lower spine tip, upper tip almost gone, front cover detached, rear cover almost detached, spotting, creasing, soiling, staining, small tears, minor worming, a few corners/lower margins chewed, missing a couple of corners & part of one side margin, mispagination, one detached illust present but soiled and chipped, pages slightly wavy. Else pages clean & good. Wonderful engravings. Some of the cartouches are hand colored. The map by Moll is a "draught" of the North Pole "to shew all the Countries near and adjacent to it." Sold as is. FIRST ED.
