Typed Letter Signed "Uncle Chase" from the former Governor of Michigan. Possum Poke in Possum Lane, Poulan, Worth County, Georgia, April 12, 1942.

One page, oblong 5.5 x 8.5, on Osborn's personal letterhead, soiling, edge tears, folds, etc. A rough (shape) but touching letter to Fred A. Perine, Detroit Art Supplier, in part: "You are a Sacred Father . . . Your brave son is a distinguished member of the great Army of Eternity in Heaven . . . The war is a product of the selfishness and meanness of a few people . . ." Included is a typed letter also sent to Perine thanking him for special cement, signed in type by Osborn with "CSO EX" in pencil, same size & condition (more yellowed), November 12, 1941, with orig mailing envelope, soiled, yellowed yet neatly opened. The group. Osborn was a former Governor of Michigan, and career politician; he wintered in Georgia. The lot . . .
