Osler, Wm.

AUTOGRAPH NOTE SIGNED on his personal postcard.

Oxford. Sept. 4, 1916. 4.5 x 3.5, to Colonel Bradley at the U.S. Embassy in London. Osler writes cryptically "She will sure(ly) find those books in Columbia Library & will know the name of Prof. Venogrndoff. Am off to the Brit. Assoc. meeting at New Castle tomorrow. Wm. Osler." Postally used, a few water drops have slightly blurred some letters of text; however signature is strong and untouched. Colonel, later General, Bradley was Chief Surgeon AEF during WWI. At this time he was in England studying the British system of care during wartime.
