Four engraved plates with engraved flaps to be pulled back, 16 x 12.5", quarter leather; marbled boards, unpaginated (four pages of text), covers worn, rubbed, stained, soiled, scratched, extremities worn, corners bumped & well worn, spine worn & missing top edge, MS title of book pasted onto front cover, minor worming to covers & contents, ink name & date (1769) inside, inner hinges cracked, scattered spotting, soiling, smudging, damping, small amount of waterstaining, edge tears. Three of the four engravings have overlaid flaps over the internal organs (even naughty bits). THIRD EDITION. Wonderfully detailed illustrations of the human anatomy. A great achievement.
