The House of David was a flourishing, Christian communal sect headquartered in Benton Harbor, MI in the early part of the 1900s, famous for its baseball teams, jazz bands & long beards (on the men). "King" Benjamin Purnell was accused of "crimes against girls" even though they all were supposed to be above such things. Also, ad for Hudson's, etc.
