OFFICIAL BRIGADE BATTLEFIELD TRANSCRIBED REPORTS OF THE BATTLE OF PORT GIBSON, MISSISSIPPI, May 1863.

Various reports of regimental and battery commanders consolidated in a brigade report of B.Gen. George F. McGinnis, commander of the 1st Brigade, 12th Division, 13th (U.S.) Army Corps. Seven individual official reports of each of the following regimental battery commands: 11th, 24th, 34th and 46th Indiana; 29th Wisconsin; and 2nd and 16th Ohio, plus a report from the brigade commander. 8x12", on lightly lined rag paper, 33 pages, tears, edge tears, stain and spoiling. Soil, etc. is mainly on the 1st and last few pages. The interior is pretty clean. Reports have been rolled up. Handwriting is legible - most likely it was transcribed by a regimental brigade clerk. Much battle content, reports of casualties, capture of Confederate colors, guns and over 200 prisoners take, etc. Verty interesting piece. An item such as this is seldom, if at all, found. Scarce.
