(London) June 12, n.y. (circa 1870's). To Mr. L. Christie. Dr. Thompson proclaims that the public "won't like to burn gas. Wh. Has been partly made from human bodies' furthur adding that Cremation will be cheap enough when there is a large demand - but when the whole apparatus have to be set going for a single body….. It is more costly, still far less than funerals." Light areas of foxing and minor traces of former mounting on reverse else good. Thompson was a British Surgeon who authored several pioneering works on cremation.
