Includes order from the Governor of Montana Territory to the Governor of Idaho, February 3, 1888, with Territorial Seal and ribbon, advising him that Carson now resides in his territory with accompanying documentation relating to the case which is described as "Carson, Commit the crime of assault with deadly weapon. Did willfully and maliciously assault W.H. Concannon, with a knife with intend to do great bodily harm and stabbed said Concannon with said knife and not in necessary self-defense." V.g.
